How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your 2.x.x 2G iPhone Using QuickPwn (Windows)

คงจะไม่สายไป ถ้าเราจะมาพูดเกี่ยวกับการ Jailbreak และ Unlock iPhone OS (Firmware) 2.2.1 เพราะคิดว่ายังมีมือใหม่ไม่น้อยที่ยังไม่ทราบวิธีการนี้

ต่อไปนี้เป็นขั้นตอนการ Jailbreak และ Unlock Firmware 2.x.x สำหรับ iPhone 2G model โดยใช้ QuickPwn บน Windows OS ซึ่งในที่นี่ เราจะทำการ Jailbreak และ Unlock Firmware 2.2.1 … ก่อนที่จะเริ่มการ Jailbreak และ Unlock ขอให้คุณ check iTunes ก่อนว่าเป็น version 8.0.2 ขึ้นไปหรือไม่ ถ้ายังไม่ใช่ ควร Upgrade iTunes ให้เป็น version ล่าสุดก่อนครับ

The following are instructions on how to unlock/jailbreak your 2G iPhone to the 2.x.x iPhone firmware using QuickPwn for Windows. We are about to Jailbreak and Unlock to the 2.2.1 iPhone Firmware. Before beginning make sure you have updated to iTunes 8.0.2. If not, please upgrade the latest iTunes version on your PC.

Prerequisites:

• QuickPwn 2.2.5
• BL 3.9
• BL 4.6
• Original Firmware 2.2.1 (2G): iPhone1,1_2.2.1_5H11_Restore.ipsw

Instructions:

Step One

สร้าง Folder สำหรับเก็บ Tool ต่างๆ ในที่นี่เราจะสร้าง “Pwange” Folder บท Desktop

Download Software ข้างบนไว้ใน “Pwange” Folder ที่ได้สร้างไว้เมื่อครู่

Extract “QuickPwn-225-2.zip” ใน “Pwange” Folder

Create a folder called Pwnage on your desktop.

Download the following files; QuickPwn 2.2.5, BL 3.9, BL 4.6, Original Firmware 2.2.1, and place them in the Pwnage folder you just created:

Extract the QuickPwn-225-2.zip file to the Pwnage folder.

Step Two

ต่อ iPhone ของเราเข้ากับ Computer จากนั้นเปิด iTunes ขึ้นมา

Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes.

เลือก iPhone ของเราที่ menu list ทางด้านซ้ายมือบน iTunes  จากนั้นให้กดปุ่ม Shift ค้าง และ click ปุ่ม Restore

แนะนำให้ Restore มากกว่าที่จะไป Update เพราะการ Restore จะไม่สร้างไฟล์ขยะทิ้งไว้ในเครื่อง

Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left. Now hold down shift and click the Restore button.

Restore is preferred as it won’t create any wasted space on your iPhone.

หา “Pwnage” folder บน Deaktop จากนั้นเลือก 2.2.1 Firmware iPhone (ไฟล์นามสกุล ipsw) และกดปุ่ม “Open” เพื่อให้ iTunes update Firmware ในเครื่องให้เรา

Navigate to the Pwnage folder on your desktop and select the 2.2.1 firmware ipsw. Click the Open button to continue.

Step Three

เมื่อ iTunes ทำการ update 2.2.1 Firmware ให้เราเสร็จสิ้น ให้รัน QuickPwn.exe ใน “Pwnage” folder

Once iTunes has finished updating your iPhone to the 2.2.1 firmware you may launch QuickPwn.exe from the Pwnage folder on your desktop.

Step Four

เช็คให้แน่ใจก่อนว่าเรายังต่อ iPhone เข้ากับ Computer หรือยัง จากนั้นให้ click ปุ่มสีฟ้าเพื่อดำเนินการขั้นตอนต่อไป

Make sure you iPhone is connected to the computer and click the blue arrow to continue.

Step Five

click ปุ่ม “Browse” เพื่อไปยัง Folder ที่เก็บ 2.2.1 Firmware

Click the Browse button to locate your iPhone firmware.

Step Six

เลือก 2.2.1 Firmware (ไฟล์นามสกุล ipsw)

Select the 2.2.1 firmware ipsw from the Pwnage folder on your desktop then click the Open button.

Step Seven

QuickPwn จะ check Firmware ที่เราได้เลือกว่าใช้งานได้หรือไม่ จากนั้น click ปุ่มสีฟ้าเพื่อดำเนินการในขั้นตอนต่อไป

QuickPwn will check to make sure the ipsw is valid. Click the blue arrow button to continue.

Step Eight

ต่อไปนี้ ให้เราเลือกว่าจะให้ QuickPwn ทำอะไรบ้างกับ iPhone ของเรา

• Add Cydia: ให้ QuickPwn ติดตั้ง Cydia ด้วย
• Add Installer: ให้ QuickPwn ติดตั้ง Installer ด้วย
• Replace boot logos: ให้ QuickPwn เปลี่ยน boot logo จาก Applet แหว่งเป็นสับปะรดแหว่ง
• Unlock phone: ให้ QuickPwn unlock iPhone ด้วย

ในที่นี่เราจะเลือก Add Cydia, Add Installer, และ Unlock Phone เพราะไม่ต้องการเปลี่ยน boot logo

You can now select whether to Add Cydia, Add Installer, Replace Boot Logos, and Unlock Phone. Select the ones you would like to perform then click the clue arrow button

We will select Add Cydia, Add Installer, Unlock phone only. We do not select Replace boot logos because we do not want to change a boot logo.

Step Nine

QuickPwn จะให้เราเลือก Bootloader 3.9 และ Bootloader 4.6

QuickPwn will let you select your bootloader files. Click the Browse button and select the 3.9 bootloader from the Pwnage folder on your desktop. Likewise do the same thing for the 4.6 bootloader file. Then click the blue arrow button to continue.

Step Ten

QuickPwn จะ confirm เราอีกทีว่า เรายังต่อ iPhone เข้ากับ Computer อยู่หรือไม่ จากนั้น click ปุ่มสีฟ้าเพื่อดำเนินการขั้นตอนต่อไป

QuickPwn will now ask you to confirm your iPhone is connected via USB before continuing. Click the blue arrow button to proceed.

Step Eleven

QuickPwn ทำการ set iPhone ของเราให้อยู่ใน Recovery mode … เมื่อ iPhone ของเราอยู่ใน Recovery mode แล้ว เราจะต้องทำตากคำสั่งที่จะแสดงให้เห็นบน QuickPwn โดยเริ่มจาก

• กดปุ่ม Home ค้างไว้ประมาณ 5 วินาที

QuickPwn will now automatically put your iPhone into recovery mode. Once its in recovery mode you will be prompted to:

• Hold the Home button for 5 seconds
• Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds
• Release the Power button and continuing holding the Home button until your iPhone is in DFU mode.

Watch the prompts carefully and follow along.

Step Twelve

เมื่อ QuickPwn พบว่า iPhone ของเราอยู่ใน DFU mode เรียบร้อยแล้ว QuickPwn จะเริ่มทำการ Jailbreak ต่อทันที

Once QuickPwn detects your iPhone in DFU mode it will begin the jailbreak process.

Step Thirteen

Once jailbreaking is complete QuickPwn will inform you that it was successful. Your iPhone will then proceed to run BootNeuter. This process will take about 5 minutes. Please be patient. Your iPhone will reboot when it has completed the process successfully!

ปัญหาที่อาจพบ

• Problems: เมื่อใช้งาน QuickPwn มาถึงขั้นตอนที่ 11 QuickPwn บอกเราว่า “Wait for your iPhone to connect in Recovery Mode…” แล้วค้าง ไม่ไปไหน
  Solutions: ให้ลองทำดังนี้
  1. กด start แล้วคริก Run พิมพ์ services.msc
  2. พอหน้าต่างขึ้นมาให้ เรา หาชื่อ 4 ชื่อนี้
     - Terminal Services
     - Fast user switching Compatibility
     - Remote Proceduce Calls (RPC)
     - Remote Proceduce Calls (RPC) Locator
  3. ถ้าทั้ง 4 ชื่อนี้ ถูก Disable ไว้ให้เรา Enable ซะ ถ้ากดให้มันเริ่มทำงานไม่ได้ให้กด properties แล้วดูตรง startup type จากนั้นเปลี่ยนเป็น manual หรือ Automatic ทีนี้ก็จะ Enable ได้
  4. ทำเสร็จแล้ว ลองเล่น QuickPwn ใหม่
